DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This hands-on position supports the development of new grease additive and component products.Duties include:
The formulation and production (lab scale) of grease
Planning, implementing, and coordinating short-term customer projects and narrowly-defined medium and long-term product or technology development projects
May lead strategic and tactical technical projects
Generates, organizes, interprets, and reports data in support of technical projects and service requests
Provides technical support to other team members
Must be able and willing to represent Lubrizol at international industry forums, OEM’s andcustomersdf-lj More...
Experience
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
Ability to work safely within LZA laboratories
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE)
Strong PC skills including MS Office
Must possess or quickly develop strong project management skills
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated toward achievements, results oriented
Must possess strong problem solving skills
Ability to travel as required
Ability to lift a pail of grease (18kg) to waist height
CONSIDERED A PLUS:
3 years or more experience with formulating and testing lubricating greases for Automotive or Industrial Applications
Advanced technical degree
NLGI CLGS or STLE CLS certified
Knowledge of synthetic base fluids
Highly developed understanding of lubricating grease applications
SALARY RANGE: $51,000 - $94,000 based on education and experience
