DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:





Assists LZ export departments on questions pertaining trade issues include export licensing and exceptions, embargo policy, re-export controls, and federal recordkeeping. Must be able to research, interpret and advise on questions concerning export shipments importation requirements at destination country.

Responsible to monitor, interpret, communicate and train Export Administration Regulations for the all Lubrizol North American locations.Key contact for U.S. and foreign authorities on trade issues in support of Lubrizol Export Operations.This position will serve as backup to HTS Classification and Import Compliance.

Responsible as compliance gatekeeper for ECCN requirements for all export shipments from NA

Keep current and communicates all export regulatory requirements.

Denied party screening.Administers Business Partner Management System (BPMS) in conjunction with SAP master data specialist

Provides assistance to LZ Legal department in determination of boycott violations, restrictive trade practices, licensing requirements, and proliferation violations.

Audit preparation (Commerce Department)

Supports Classification Specialist position in determining correct HTS classification of Lubrizol Chemical products and miscellaneous hard good items for import/export (HTS)

Trains local resources

Serves as backup to Import Compliance Specialist

Coordinates with LZ international regions on compliance issues

Experience

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:





Bachelor’s degree

3-5 years experience in Export Regulations

Requires working knowledge of export regulations (EAR) including Export Commodity Classification (ECCN) and licensing requirements including other involved agencies (ITAR, OFAC, ATF)..

Must have experience working on international commercial transactions and be knowledgeable of documentation requirements including invoicing, letters of credit and export financing/accounting, value added tax (VAT) and special form requirements such DEA-486.

2+ years of experience in Harmonized Tariff Schedule Classification (HTS) including the ability to apply General Rule of Interpretation (GRIs), research and interpret Customs rulings for determine the proper classification for both chemicals and hard goods. Experience in classification of chemicals considered a plus.

Ability to interpret and apply multiple regulatory agency requirements

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects or activities

SALARY RANGE: $44,571 TO $73,561
