DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The maintenance craftsman position is a combination of multiple building maintenance skills. Advancement in the position is obtained by achieving competencies in the nine core trades:carpentry, roofing, landscaping, painting, material handling, equipment operation, building and grounds maintenance, masonry, and locksmithing.
The maintenance craftsman is responsible for using his technical skills, knowledge and experience to complete maintenance and installation activities that are assigned by the foreman. Many assignments require the craftsman to provide technical input regarding the design, installation or repair of equipment or facilities.
Technical skills that are used by the craftsman are in the nine core trades, with additional skills in print and document reading, math, safety awareness, and various tools of the trade.
The degree of success in delivering quality maintenance and construction services also depends on the individuals ability to interact with a variety of people including internal customers, planners, contractors, engineers, technicians, direct supervision and coworkers. Leadership, teamwork, communication dependability, problem solving, innovation and customer focus are a few of the interactive skills needed by the maintenance craftsman.
Will work individually and in groups in construction and maintenance of Lubrizol’s physical assets in the building and grounds area.

Experience
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma.
· 3-5 years experience in the building or grounds maintenance trades, with a minimum of 3 years experience with built up commercial flat roofing. Must have experience in built up roofing with knowledge of the various roofing systems to spot trouble areas and perform repairs according to manufactures specifications, using correct materials and practices.
· Experience and knowledge with power tools and general building maintenance equipment
· Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft excel and word
· Ability to read prints, proficient math skills, and awareness of energy source/hazards.
· Able to lift 75 pounds
· Be comfortable climbing ladders and working at elevated heights
· Must have an understanding and ability to provide Grounds Maintenance services like moving office equipment, snow removal, arrange and set up conference rooms, and handling of rubbish and recycling activities.
· Must be able to operate or be trainable to operate a lift truck and stake body truck.
· Must have an understanding and abilities to provide Building Maintenance services to protect, maintain, or repair building envelops, windows, copings, ductwork coverings, roof drains and siding.
· Will cross train in all core trades and work to become proficient in these skills
· Able to work nights and weekends for call in maintenance services/ snow removal.
· Willing to participate on the emergency response team.
